Located about 7 miles west of Skomer Island, about 11 miles from Marloes and the mainland. It is an RSPB reserve that supports 8% of the world's population of gannets, and is the only gannet colony in Wales. The birds cover the north east half of the island completely. The latest RSPB survey (2004) counted 32,409 pairs of gannets. There is no water source on the little island. Other breeding birds include shags, guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes.
